The author is an immigrant to the United States who has taught high school and college, has been a talk show host, a prosecutor in his native country, and has served on many not- for-profit boards of organizations dealing with education, health care, the theatre and the arts.

He was Commissioner on the Zoning Board of Appeals for Stamford, Connecticut and is a frequent panelist on Tax Matters at The Journal News, Westchester, New York. He holds certificates in Economics and Mathematics from the University of London, in the English Language from the University of Cambridge, as well as, a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
